What to do when an accident occurs.

  • Check to see if anyone is injured. Follow your first aid rules if they are, while ensuring you are safe yourself.
  • Call for emergency help – ambulance and/or police.
  • If the scene of the accident is not too severe try to remove the cars to the side of the road to make the scene safer. You may wish to take a few photos before doing this, depending on the severity of the accident.
  • Put up a safety triangle or cones to warn other traffic
  • Gather information from the other driver (if possible) Take down the driver of the other vehicles insurance details, and the license plate number. Provide the other driver with your insurance details. (If police are at the scene they will be gathering this and the following information too)
  • Gather information from witnesses. You don’t need to go into detail

Brake failure is one of the leading causes of truck accidents. An uncontrollable truck barreling down the road can be a deadly weapon that cannot be stopped. The injuries could be limited to the driver if he rolls into a ditch or is stopped by a wall. The truck could also kill or injure any number of people who are unfortunately in the path of the truck.

There are several reasons for brake failure, including old or worn brakes. Brakes are supposed to be maintained to ensure that they are fully functioning at all times. When they fail, it is important to determine who is culpable in the event there is a liability lawsuit. The liable parties include the truck driver, the trucking company, and the person responsible for the trucks maintenance.

Playing it safe on the golf course this spring

Man faces charges for friend’s afterlife in headlock at bar

According to accident attorney Stuart Smith, five months afterwards the afterlife of a Dunnellon man, authorities accept answerable an Ocala man in the case.

Stuart Smith is an accident attorney in Jupiter and Jupiter personal injury attorney.

Armed with a warrant, a Dunnellon badge officer, with abetment from two Ocala badge officers, went Thursday to 1824 N.E. Third St., area they arrested Joshua Ineichen, 25.
