Boston freight train accident – 230 personal injuries

On Tuesday afternoon, a freight train rolled another track on the line and collided with a commuter train that was stationary wounding more than 200 people. About 150 people were treated on the spot and 80 others were taken to local hospitals. None of the injuries were fatal, and most were minor. There were about 300 passengers on the Stoughton-bound train and many are in need of a Boston personal injury lawyer.
Pesaturo said the CSX freight car loaded with lumber, rolled about two miles from where he was stationed in a ship timber on the siding. He traveled in the Stoughton train line, and then on the main line where it struck the passenger train to the locomotive near Canton Junction just before 5:30 pm Pesaturo said the engineer, who was among those injured , was alerted by a signal that something is on the track line and was able to stop the train before the crash.
Authorities are investigating how the freight train became loose. The train number 917 and left Boston’s South Station at 4:40 pm
Passengers involved in the accident said the train suddenly stopped at the junction of Canton and then there was a loud bang. Also, a small brush fire broke out outside the train and there was dust filled the car. Passengers flying in the aisles and people were falling on the ground. According to passengers, it was a terrifying experience and are seeking accidents attorneys in Boston.
The train service resumed Tuesday evening from Boston and Providence, RI, but passengers had to be bus to Canton Stoughton, as teams continue to clean debris from the accident.
