Senator’s Wish to Change State Rock May be Granite

The Associated Press reported today that Democratic state Senator Gloria Romera has proposed a bill that would change the state rock of California. The Serpantine, which was chosen in 1965, contains the mineral asbestos which has since been found to cause such diseases as mesothelioma, lung cancer, throat cancer and asbestosis. Hall of fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor has been detained by police officials in the Ramapo Valley, NY on charges of rape from a 15 year old runaway.  According to the football legend’s lawyers, Taylor has yet to be formerly charged with a crime, although heavy investigations will be conducted this week regarding the reported rape.

Judge Judy questions some recipients of social security disability on whether or not they should qualify to receive such benefits.  Apparently the first recipient should have acquired better disability lawyers as he claims the government doesn’t care if someone on social security collects cash on top of their monthly payments to supplement their income.
